Help & FAQ
New here? The welcome walkthrough covers how RouteSweeper works in five short steps.
What is RouteSweeper?
RouteSweeper tracks how much of the Belgian cycling/walking networks you have sweeped (passed by). Connect your Strava account, and your activities are automatically matched against Fietssnelwegen and other network types in Belgium.
How do I get started?
Create an account by logging in with your Strava account. New activities are automatically synced once they are uploaded on Strava. To sync past activities, go to your profile page and click the "Sync with Strava" button which will start a syncronisation process in the background. Once all activities are synced.
How is my coverage calculated?
Coverage is computed by intersecting your ride GPS traces with the official path geometry. A path segment counts as covered when your activity passes close to it.
Why is an activity I did not showing up?
Only Strava activities of the correct type are imported and shown on RouteSweeper. You can trigger a manual sync from your profile page to (re-)fetch new activities.
How do I appear (or stop appearing) on leaderboards?
Leaderboard visibility is controlled from your profile page under Settings. Unchecking "Show me on leaderboards" removes you from all rankings immediately.
Something looks wrong with my coverage — what should I do?
Try using the "Refresh coverage" button on the challenge detail page. This forces a full rescan of all your activities for that challenge. If the problem persists, contact us via the support page.
